We are shirt specialists.
Printed, pure cotton, and made end to end in our own factory — from greige fabric to the last button. Most brands design a shirt and send it out to be made. We make ours ourselves, and that changes everything about how it wears.
The gap nobody was fixing
We kept noticing the same three compromises. Beautiful prints on fabric that bled in the first wash. Cotton that breathed but had no personality. Well-made pieces cut on a block that had never met an Indian body.
Women were working around their clothes all day — adjusting, tugging, changing before dinner. That isn't a design problem. It's a manufacturing problem, and it can only be solved where the fabric is made.
So we started at the factory and worked forward, instead of starting at the sketch and hoping.
A design brain and a factory brain
One of us trained at NIFT and has drawn prints since childhood. The other is a Chartered Accountant, third generation on the factory floor. Between us we can take a print from a sketch to a shipped shirt without ever handing it to a stranger.

I grew up in a house where there was always fabric on the dining table, and spent my twenties at NIFT learning why so little of it actually works on a real body. The Print Factory started because I was tired of choosing between a print I loved and a shirt I could wear through a whole day without thinking about it.
I still approve every print before it goes to the machine. And I wear the first piece off every run for a week before it is allowed on the site — if it annoys me by Thursday, it doesn't go up on Friday.
Sameer Agarwala
Sameer is the third generation of our family on this factory floor, and a Chartered Accountant by training — an unusual pair of instincts that turns out to be exactly the right one for making clothes properly.
He runs sourcing, costing and quality, and he is the reason a batch gets rejected at the QC table instead of explained away. If a colour hasn't cleared the lab, it doesn't get cut. That isn't a policy we wrote down; it's just how he was raised around this business.
We own the factory
The Print Factory is backed by Bellflower Tex — our family's textile processing house, running since 1992 across units in Gujarat, Kolkata and Mumbai. Dyeing, digital printing and embroidery all happen on our own floors, on our own machines, to our own standard.

Undyed cotton bought by the roll, from mills we have worked with for years.

Colour fixed and washed in our own dye house, so it stays where we put it.

Owning the floor is not only about quality. It means an ETP and a steam turbine handling what we put back into the ground and the air — and it means we can print fifty metres of a new design on a Tuesday and have it on the site by Friday.
Anyone can make a shirt. Very few make the same one twice.
A shirt is the hardest thing in a woman's wardrobe to get right, because every part of it is visible and every part of it moves. Here is what we obsess over.
The collar
Fused with an interlining chosen to survive the wash cycle, not just the photoshoot. A collar that curls by month three is a collar that was never engineered.
The placket
Cut on the same grain as the body so the button line stays straight through the day, instead of pulling to one side by lunch.
The fit
Graded on real Indian body measurements. Not scaled up from a European block — which is why our size chart behaves the way you expect it to.
The sleeve
Armhole cut for a full range of movement — reach across a desk, lift a child, drive — without the whole shirt riding up with you.
The buttons
Picked per print rather than per batch, and set with a lockstitch so they stay exactly where they were sewn.
The print placement
Because we print the fabric ourselves, we place a motif where it should sit on the body — not wherever the roll happened to land.
Four claims we can actually back
Every brand says its cotton is good. We own the dye house and the lab, so we can tell you exactly why ours is.
Anti-bleed
Dyes fixed and washed at our own dye house, then lab-tested for colour fastness before a single metre is cut. Your white towel stays white.
Anti-shrink
Fabric is pre-shrunk and finished before cutting, and shrinkage is measured — not assumed. The shirt you get is the size you bought.
Anti-peel
Prints are cured into the fabric rather than sitting on top of it. No cracking down the fold, no flaking at the shoulder.
100% breathable
Pure cotton, chosen for Indian weather rather than for a photograph. It works in a Mumbai May, which is the only test that counts.
Still vivid after 200 washes
Those four promises are not adjectives we picked. They add up to a number we are willing to publish: wash a shirt once a week and 200 washes is nearly four years — and that is how long we expect a print of ours to hold its colour.
We can say it because we print the cloth ourselves. Pre-treatment, steam fixing and a full wash-off all happen on our own floors, and every batch is fastness-tested in our own lab before a metre is cut. No other brand our size can promise this, because no other brand our size owns the mill.

Friday 5 exists because of the factory. When you print your own fabric you don't wait on a mill's minimum order or a six-month calendar — you can chase an idea on Tuesday and put it on the site by Friday.
It also means we make in small runs. Most prints are never repeated, so what you buy stays yours a while longer.
